Galvanized steel pipe connection methods: Threading, welding.

Grooving Connection
Grooving Weld Cracking
1. Grind the inner weld ribs on the grooved section of the pipe end to reduce grooving resistance.
2. Adjust the axis of the steel pipe and the grooving equipment, ensuring they are level.
3. Adjust the grooving speed. The grooving time should not exceed the specified time. Apply force evenly and slowly.

Grooving Steel Pipe Fracture
Grind the inner weld ribs on the grooved section of the pipe end to reduce grooving resistance.
Adjust the axis of the steel pipe and the grooving equipment, ensuring they are level.
Adjust the grooving speed. The grooving time should not exceed the specified time. Apply force evenly and slowly.
Check the width and type of the support roller and pressure roller of the grooving equipment to see if there is any mismatch between the roller sizes, causing seizure.

Use a vernier caliper to check if the grooves on the steel pipe are specified.

The grooves formed by the groover should meet the following requirements.
The surface from the pipe end to the groove section should be smooth, free of bumps and rolling marks.
The groove center should be concentric with the pipe wall. The groove width and depth should meet the requirements. Check the clamp model for the correct size.
Apply lubricant to the rubber seal and inspect it for damage. Do not use oil lubricants.

Welding Connections

If the ends of the galvanized steel pipes are not aligned after butt jointing or if the pipes have a beveled end, it is recommended to cut off a small section of the pipe head before processing.
If the ends of the galvanized steel pipes are not tightly butt jointed, resulting in uneven weld thickness; or if the pipe ends are elliptical due to the pipe itself or due to bumps during transportation, it is recommended to cut off a small section of the pipe head before processing.
If pinholes appear at the ends of the galvanized steel pipes after butt jointing.
This is caused by technical errors during welding.

Threaded Connections
Irregular Threads: If the pipe clamp and thread do not fully contact or are loose, cut off the irregular thread and rethread.
If the pipe thread and the clamp thread do not match, the connection cannot be made. Replace the clamp or adjust the equipment and rethread.
Missing Marks After Threading: Measure the pipe wall thickness to ensure it meets the standard thickness requirements for threaded pipe.
