Corrosion Resistance
Stainless steel plate has similar resistance to general corrosion as the less stable nickel-chromium alloy 304. Prolonged heating within the chromium carbide temperature range may affect alloys 321 and 347 in harsh corrosive media. It is primarily used in high-temperature applications, which require strong resistance to sensitization to prevent intergranular corrosion at lower temperatures.

High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance
Stainless steel plate exhibits high-temperature oxidation resistance, but the oxidation rate is affected by inherent factors such as the exposure environment and product form.

Physical Properties
The overall heat transfer coefficient of a metal depends not only on its thermal conductivity but also on other factors. In most cases, the film heat dissipation coefficient, scale, and the surface condition of the metal. Stainless steel maintains a clean surface, resulting in better heat transfer than other metals with higher thermal conductivity. Other companies offers eight technical standards for stainless steel plate: High-strength stainless steel plate with excellent corrosion resistance, bending properties, weld toughness, and stamping properties at welds, as well as its manufacturing methods. Specifically, a stainless steel sheet containing less than 0.02% C, less than 0.02% N, 11% to less than 17% Cr, and appropriate amounts of Si, Mn, P, S, Al, and Ni, meeting the following requirements: 12 ≤ Cr Mo 1.5 Si ≤ 17, 1 ≤ Ni 30 (CN) 0.5 (Mn Cu) ≤ 4, Cr 0.5 (Ni Cu) 3.3 Mo ≥ 16.0, and 0.006 ≤ CN ≤ 0.030, is heated to 850-1250°C and then cooled at a cooling rate of at least 1°C/s. This results in a high-strength stainless steel sheet containing at least 12% martensite by volume, high strength exceeding 730 MPa, excellent corrosion resistance and bendability, and excellent toughness in the weld heat-affected zone. Furthermore, the inclusion of Mo and B significantly improves the stamping performance of the welded area.
